Their 'offense'? Shopping while black

Leah Wells and two girlfriends decided to ditch the gym during an office lunch break and do some power-shopping instead. The three young women, all in their 20s and all black, ended up wrongly detained for shoplifting. Their offense, as Wells sees it, was being black in America. It's a common refrain from black people in the U.S., says CNN's Soledad O'Brien.

Una de las características del Estado terrorista es el ocultamiento de su accionar. Por ello, grupos operativos (como los que asesinaron a varios maestros oaxaqueños y al camarógrafo estadunidense Bradley Roland Hill, de Indymedia y causan explosiones) no se identifican, sus brazos ejecutores visten de civil, las autoridades niegan su acción o procedimiento y buscan ocultarlos o legitiman la muerte de opositores criminalizando a las víctimas al presentarlas como "violentas" o "subversivas", que forman parte de una "guerrilla urbana".

A partir del accionar represivo instrumentado por los gobiernos federal y estatal, Oaxaca, como antes Chiapas, conforma hoy un Estado militarizado de tipo contrainsurgente. Reina allí un estado de excepción, estructurado sobre una base pública, a la vez clandestina y terrorista, que busca, mediante el ejercicio de la violencia institucional (de poder-fuerza), la desarticulación del movimiento social y una aceptación ciudadana y un consenso forzados, afines a "la ley y el orden" formales del bloque de poder dominante.

Con una agravante: la humillación sufrida por la PFP en la fallida toma de Ciudad Universitaria podría alentar una venganza. Una nueva acción de escarmiento ubicaría al país en el peor de los escenarios posibles y abriría el camino hacia un proceso de fascistización del Estado.
